Hi gang

Hope you are all having a fantastic week. Mine has been totally off the wall crazy...does it ever slow down? I mean seriously, I'm here alone most of the time. So, I canned pears, peaches, yummy peach salsa, peach jam, and I'm doing blueberries and strawberries and more peaches Friday. We got a great deal on fruit last Sat. so I made a flash trip in the rainstorm Monday to get some more blueberries, I even hydroplaned in the car-it was freaky. Tuesday I worked all day, cleaned and canned, Wednesday we had a health fair at work and I got my flu shot, it was a busy crowded day with lots of people. Then I mowed the lawn, froze chicken that I put in the crockpot, had home teachers and dad was home from 8:00 pm to 3:00 am...you got it a whole 7 hours. Today I hosted a red hat work party-cooked dutch oven and smores cake for 28-we had 17 show up, of course I had to get the yard and house in shape. Then I worked at the honey store for half a day, canned some more, and visited with all three of my neighbors. Friday is work as usual, helping a friend make jam and a trip to Porcupine Dam with our ward and then work Sat. and dad will maybe be here for a day.
Hope Hero heals fast. Love the news about the grandkids and talking to all of them whenever I get the chance. I love their unique conversations and they all owe us some letters or emails...hint!! Good news-my neck hasn't bothered me since the road trip with dad, I think I let go of alot of stress, it feels so great! If any of you get bored I know where you can stay busy. Good luck on Super Saturday Jess and have fun Jen. I'll be glad when ours is over. Amanda and Clar have fun at school and all of you have a great weekend. Hug the kids and tell the guys hi. Love and hugs, mom

Hi gang

Hi Wonderful Family!!!!!!!!!

Hi Everyone!

Cody took the boys for a motorcycle ride so I have a few minutes with nothing to do. Rare this time of night wouldn't you say? We're doing great, missing Hero. He had his knee surgery today. He is getting rave reviews from the doc. He should heal pretty fast we hope! I can't wait to go pick him up tomorrow. He will be soooo babied!

The boys are having a good week at school. A special treat for me was when I was brushing Scout's teeth last night, and he flipped me the bird and asked if I knew what it meant. Apparently it means "every bad word ever made". It was very funny! He gives Surf a heart attack when he does that kind of stuff. Surf is so shocked, what a good boy, huh? Surf is loving 4th grade and doing great he is actually doing his homework and studying without us asking him. He is trying out new accents on me all the time. His fav is that accent that Steve Martin uses in The Pink Panther. It's sooo cute!

Cody is keeping busy at work. He is enjoying his motorcycle, he'll be so sad when it gets too cold to ride it. He is looking forward to spending some time with the boys this weekend. I'll be going to Jess's on Sat. to have a little craft time. I can't wait!!!! I even got the OK to spend the night if needed!

Tomorrow I have to go and take my assessment test for Front Range Community College. I'm getting everything done so I can start after Christmas. The boys are so happy I'll have homework like they do. Scout was really worried that I would be moving into a dorm in Boulder. Cody told him he would build me an apartment over the garage to live in, so I could still make dinner for them-typical man. Wouldn't that be cool though? My own place of peace and quiet?

Hope everyone is doing great!

Love ya and miss ya!

Jen

PS
Jess get ready for some serious girly time!

Conversation with Leiah

So, I was talking to Amanda this morning - and it was fabulous! Amanda then asked Leiah if she wanted to talk and she said, "no." She then asked if the puppy wanted to talk, and apparently the answer was yes... the conversation went a little something like this...

Leiah: Bark, bark, bark...
Me: Hey Lei Lei, how are you?
Leiah: Bark, bark, bark, bark, bark... (with different voice fluctuations)
Me: Oh, I'm so glad you're doing good... are you having a fun day...
Leiah: Bark, bark, bark, bark...

And so on and so forth - she was TOTALLY committed to the "conversation" we were having and I LOVED every minute of it! It was so hilarious!!

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I really do have the cutest nephews & nieces in the world!!

Canning fruit

See response to Amanda's last blog. Thanks for the chance to tend the boys Jen and Cody. We had a fun trip except for the one cranky day...the witch came out for a few hours. She needs to once in awhile. Canning the last batch of pears and then to bed. Love to all

Hi Family

Thanks for the update Clar-sorry we didn't catch up this weekend!! It sped by and was too busy for my liking. We are all lovely-busy busy. The kids are all over some nasty colds and fevers we had all of last week except Leiah who is just beginning it. Unfortunately I had it for a week and it sounds like mom has a rough go of it too. Feel better mom!

We are liking our new place-the kids are having fun with some new friends as well as visits from their old friends. We have a very set schedule during school-so we are just busy every morning till night. Indy is loving her kindergarten teacher and class and is happy to go to school everyday! Kaobe and Ada are already over the newness of school and ready for another summer break! Poor little things! Oh Kaobe is going to play the trumpet this year-he decided he enjoys instruments and wanted to try something different.

School has been a whirlwind since I started so I sort of feel like there was no summer. But I just wake up everyday thinking this is the end of it and I can so do it. They expect us to know pretty much everything at this point-so I've been studying my tushie off.

House hunting is going well-we are going back down to PA this weekend to check out some more places. It's a lot of work-but Obeta has been on top of it thank goodness! His aunt is coming from London this weekend so she'll be around for a few days too.

I gotta go shower-it's 1:00-Leiah's naptime and my study/dinner/laundry time! Love you all-hope you have a fantastic week! Me

Happy Saturday

Hey all! How are you? Welcome back ma & pa! I'm glad you guys had a great time and I can't wait to see some pics when we come out next! I'm glad you guys got to spend some uninterrupted time together - it's good for the souls - eh?

We have been pretty busy the last couple of weeks! Last Saturday we headed down to Salt Lake to the new stadium to see the USA Men's Team World Cup Qualifier! It was an awesome game and we both had such a good time!

On Sunday, Lance & Carlynne blessed Eva!

And last night we had a spontaneous evening trip to Bear Lake! We've been talking about going all summer and never made the time to, so we did it yesterday! It was relaxing and fun and if Nate wasn't working today, we'd be back there in a heartbeat!

Today has been all about getting things done! I've done laundry, written a paper and watched the pilot episode of "Vampire Diaries" (cuz you know how we love our Vamps - it is actually pretty good - I'm excited to see how it plays out)... Nate gets off in an hour or so, and my goal before then is to pick up the house and read a few chapters - so it's off to the to do list I go!

Just wanted to tell you all that we love you and we miss you! Sorry I've been crappy at calling everyone - it's been busier than the usual start of the semester madness - but know this - just because we aren't calling you doesn't mean that we don't think about you! We think about you all every day and we miss you and love you!

Give all those kids out there hugs for us, yeah?

Love,
Nate & Clar
